The term Panchayat refers to a body of elected representatives responsible for the administration of Panchayati Raj institutions. In the context of Parappur Grama Panchayat, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and manages day-to-day administration.President: The head of the Panchayat. They preside over meetings and oversee the overall activities of the Panchayat.Vice President: Carries out the duties of the President in their absence.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward within the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Formed to streamline decision-making in specific areas such as Finance, Development, Welfare, Health, and Education.Parappur Grama Panchayat consists of 22 wards and 22 elected representatives.
